How to Install and Activate Spotify on Google TV

  • Connect your Google TV to your television’s HDMI port and navigate to the Apps section.
  • Tap the Search section on the menu bar.
  • Use the smart speaker or the on-screen keyboard to find Spotify.
  • Choose the Spotify app from the search results that appear on the screen.
  • Click the Install button on the confirmation page.
  • After installing the app, navigate to the Open menu to begin using it.
  • From the home screen, click the login button. If you don’t already have a Spotify account, you can create one by clicking the SIGN UP FOR FREE button.
  • From the drop-down menu, select LOG IN WITH CODE.
  • A one-of-a-kind code will appear on the screen, along with an activation link.
  • Navigate to the Spotify activation page using your phone or computer’s browser.
  • In your Spotify account, enter the activation code.
  • Go to the PAIR menu and validate your device to activate the app.
  • Spotify playlists can now be accessed via Google TV.

How to Cast Spotify to Google TV

  • You can also cast Spotify to your Google TV using the built-in Chromecast feature.
  • Connect to the same WiFi network that your smartphone (Android/iPhone) and Google TV are using.
  • Launch the Spotify app on your Android or iPhone.
  • After you’ve finished listening to a song, go to the Devices menu in the media player.
  • Choose your Google TV device from the list of nearby devices.
  • The song you’ve chosen will now be played on the Google Television screen.
