Hundreds of Palestinians Injured as Israel Invades Al-Aqsa Mosque in Ramadan Again

Hundreds of Palestinians Injured as Israel Invades Al-Aqsa Mosque in Ramadan Again in 2022

Hundreds of unarmed Palestinians were severely injured after heavily armed Israeli police stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third holiest site.

Thousands of Palestinians gathered after Fajar prayer earlier today, according to reports, when Israeli police stormed the mosque and began torturing innocent worshippers.

As if manhandling unarmed Palestinians wasn’t enough, Israeli police blocked the roads leading up to the mosque to prevent ambulances and paramedics to treat the injured.

Palestinian Red Crescent has claimed that Israeli police used rubber bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas on Palestinians. Resultantly, hundreds of worshippers have been injured, who are not yet treated.

The raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque comes after far-right Jewish parties pressed Israeli police to raid the mosque during Passover, a Jewish holiday that this year coincides with Ramadan.

The raiding of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli police during Ramadan has become a pattern. Last year, the mosque was raided on the night of Laylat-ul-Qadar, a blessed night in Ramadan’s final ten days. In order to quell nationwide protests sparked by the incident, Israeli forces killed hundreds and injured thousands of Palestinians.
