SECP Organizes Awareness Sessions for Registered Intermediaries

SECP Organizes Awareness Sessions for Registered Intermediaries in 2022

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) held an online session to inform intermediaries about recent changes to the Associations with Charitable and Not for Profit Objects Regulations, 2018.

These regulations primarily govern non-profit organizations in Pakistan. The most recent changes are likely to simplify licensing requirements for such organizations while also improving the ease of doing business.

The attendees were also made aware of the obligations imposed on promoters and intermediaries seeking a license under Section 42 of the Companies Act of 2017. Following the interactive session, there was a question-and-answer session.

A large number of people watched the session online via the Zoom platform. The participants praised SECP’s efforts to engage the public.
