Ex-PCB CEO Appointed as ICC General Manager in 2022

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced today that Wasim Khan has been appointed as the ICC General Manager – Cricket and will start next month.

Khan, who previously served as Chief Executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Leicestershire County Cricket Club, and Chance to Shine, will succeed Geoff Allardice. The latter held the position for eight years before being appointed ICC CEO.
“I am delighted to welcome Wasim to the ICC,” Allardice said. He brings extensive knowledge of our sport and its stakeholders. His firsthand knowledge of the international cricket landscape will be invaluable as we implement the ICC’s global growth strategy and enter a new events cycle.”

“I am honored to be joining the ICC, and I can’t wait to get started and work with our Members to strengthen and grow our sport,” Khan added. I’m especially excited about the ICC’s commitment to the growth of the women’s game, and I’m looking forward to playing a role in really accelerating that growth over the next decade.”
