Samsung’s next generation of foldable is getting closer to release, with new details emerging every few days. The most recent leak comes from Ice Universe as well as GalaxyClub.
According to the source, despite being a thinner and lighter phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will keep its battery capacity the same as before. It will have the same 4,400 mAh battery as last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3. There has been no word on fast charging, but Samsung rarely goes above 25W for most of its Galaxy phones.
Ice Universe is also optimistic about the foldable’s battery life, owing to its pairing with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, which is expected to be more energy-efficient. According to rumours, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will be based on TSMC’s 4nm node, making it more efficient than the non-plus model with faster clock speeds.
Previous reports from the cat tipster revealed that Samsung is omitting the S Pen slot to keep the phone thin and light. This will also result in slimmer bezels than previously.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to be released alongside the Z Flip 4 in the third quarter of 2022. For the time being, little is known about the Z Flip 4, but we expect to learn more in the coming weeks.
