There will be a four-day public holiday this year because of Eid-ul-Fitr.
As far as we know, the federal cabinet has decided on four holidays for Eid. They are from Monday, May 2, to Thursday, May 5, and they are for Eid.
A notice about this is likely to be sent out on Wednesday.
There were three public holidays on Eid, according to PTV News. The Interior Ministry had sent a summary of those three public holidays. However, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif agreed to give the religious festival four days off.
People who work for the government are most likely to get five days off on Eid because public offices don’t work on Sundays. They’ll only have to work on Friday, 6 May, and Saturday, 7 May.
Astronomers say that the month of Ramadan will last for 30 days, because the Shawwal moon isn’t likely to be seen anywhere in the country on the evening of 29 Ramadan (Sunday, 1 May).
So, Eid-ul-Fitr is most likely to be celebrated in Pakistan on May 3, which is around May 3.
