Roza Kholne Ki Dua | Dua for Iftar
روزہ کھولنے کی دعا | Iftar ki Dua

Iftar (iftar prayer) Whenever Muslims begin to break their fast, especially during Ramadan, they pray. In this Iftar Dua, Muslims pray and implore Allah that they are fasting for him, trusting him, and breaking the fast with his nourishment.
O Allah! I fasted for you, and I believe in you, and I put my trust in You, and I break my fast with your sustenance.
Dua for Iftar
It is not obligatory to recite dua for Iftar or Roza hone ki dua during fasting, but we do so to follow Sunnah. If one makes dua for Iftar before breaking fast, Allah will undoubtedly reward them more. “Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu [wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu] wa ‘ala rizq-ika aftarth,” which translates as “Oh Allah, I fast for You and trust in You, and I broke my fast with Your sustenance.” There is no shame in not reading the iftar or Roza kholne ki dua.
Iftar is the evening meal for fasting during the month of Ramadan. So, before eating dinner, the Muslim should recite Dua for Iftar or Roza kholne ki dua, which is optional but can result in additional blessings from Allah.
Saying Iftar dua for evening prayer or Roza kholne ki dua is Mustahib because it is Sunnah, as recounted by Abu Dawood from Mu’aadh ibn Zuhrah while listening to the Prophet (S.A.W) recite after breaking his fast, “Allaahumma laka sumtu was ‘ala rizqika aftartu.” So it is clear that reciting Iftar dua or Roza kholne ki dua before breaking the fast on Iftar is Sunnah rather than a requirement, and God will bless those who do so.
